Robert G. Davis is the Secretary Emeritus of the Guthrie Scottish Rite Bodies, having served the Scottish Rite as Executive Secretary for 30 years. He is a Past Master of three Masonic lodges in Oklahoma, a 33° Mason and recipient of the Grand Cross. He served as the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma in 2021. He is also a Past Grand High Priest of Royal Arch Masons, Past Illustrious Grand Master of Cryptic Masons, Past Grand Commander of the Knights Templar in Oklahoma, and serves the Oklahoma Masonic Rosicrucians as its Chief Adept. He is a Past Sovereign Grand Master of the Allied Masonic Degrees in the United States, Past President of the International Philalethes Society, Past President of the Masonic Restoration Foundation, and currently serves on the Board of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial. He enjoys Masonic history, ritual, and symbolism; and writes and speaks extensively on topics relating to all the Rites of Freemasonry. He is the author of four books: “The Mason’s Words,” outlining the history and evolution of the American Masonic ritual; “Understanding Manhood in America,” focusing on the fraternal quest for the ideals of masculinity; “The Journey of the Elu to Enlightenment, a contemporary interpretation of the teachings of the Scottish Rite; and “In Search of Light”, a course of hieroglyphic and moral instruction for the Symbolic Lodge.
